We promised, and we delivered. Courtesy of our head man Joe, we have an exlucisive "brochure" just for your news-worthy eyes. The brochure adverities the phone in a sleek and sexy way, yet is still pretty informative. It briefly explains MotoBlur and its main features, like "Happenings." It also answers a few questions a typical customer would ask. What's more, the brochure is in the shape of the CLIQ just bringing us a little bit closer to the time when we can hold one in our hands!
So what's the juicy info this gives? Well, it confirms that the Pre-Order begins on October 19th, just less than a month from now.
Here comes the fun....Click the picture above to check out the rest of the promotional material for T-Mobile's upcoming Motorola CLIQ!

Interesting, I thought T-Mobile canceled the data plans that include 400 messages.

Cow, they more than likely approved this for printing when they still offered the 400 text plan.
Mmm-mmm-mmm. MotoBlur is SO hot. It just calls out to you, and begs you to touch it.
It's the software equivalent of being 13 years old and locking yourself in the bathroom with a new magazine.
Something tells me I'll be trading in this crappy t409 for a hot CLIQ ASAP.
I still have unlimited messaging for families, so the $25 data plan will do just fine.

For some reason, every time I see the word "Happening" I can't help but think of that horrendously terrible movie. Guess it was good for a laugh though.
Thanks for getting this put up, I just can't get enough of this phone yet!

It makes me think of that cheesy 70s show "What's Happening?"
Maybe they'll offer a free Rerun theme? lol
The CLIQ is certainly shaping up to be the hottest thing since Stiffler's mom!

Is this Blur going to get any updates? Is this worth buying compared to the Acer F1, the Leo? Will this be what I've been waiting for? Will the Blur do all the Android? So confused. This is my 1st post.
cscoot03, Welcome to TmoToday. By all accounts, the Cliq is the device that puts Motorola back on the map. The beauty of Android, is that it can be whatever you want it to be. It is highly customizable, albeit you may have to root and visit xda-developers for some things (an action tmotoday is NOT going to condone due to liability reasons). In my opinion, the cliq is basically replicating things that are already available on the G1 and the Mytouch (and soon the Hero) that are available as home-screen widgets. It may be a great device....we just won't know entirely until it gets into peoples' hands. (And our hands are always open and welcoming - are you listening Moto?)
There will be plenty of Android handsets coming down the pike, and you have options. You could play the wait and see game in which you never end up getting a device you are happy with because you are always waiting for the next great one to come along. Or, you could grab a phone that best fits your needs, and if need be put it up on craigslist or ebay if it doesn't work out.
So I guess we still don't have any idea on price? I've heard anywhere from free to $199. You'd have me at free :) anywhere above $99 and I'm probably going to wait for phones with upgraded specs to match those bucks. That or wait and see what they're going for on ebay--I may be turning a quick buck to get the n900.
This phone is still really great looking. the pics at Tmonews are pretty hot. Why o why did they not upgrade the processor/screen??
Side note: I changed the back case on my iphone 3g today. I did feel a constant sense of panic as I pulled piece after piece out and HOPED it all worked when I put it back together. I'm now intimately familiar with the innards of that phone :) But, yes, i now have a fully functional gold iphone 3g on T-mobile :) All ready for my wife to use when I get my next QWERTY beast! (she requested gold... i suggested red--go cards!)
A gold iPhone? Now that's taking "bling" to a whole new level. LOL
I know there will be better and better and better than CLIQ, but I think it will be late 2010 before something really jaw dropping lands, so I'm going for CLIQ on a 1 year plan, and will decide what to upgrade to after.
By the way, what do you guys think of Android for music playback? My girlfriend got her ipod stolen and is almost out of contract with AT&T (ugh) so I'm trying to talk her into jumping onto my plan in January (much cheaper) and was thinking a CLIQ with a 16GB card might do okay music playback with that 3.5 jack...

The question about "is blur going to get updates".....I'm going to assume that you're asking about updates to the Android OS. Well, since that was one point that they stressed as being important for a "smartphone" to have in the keynote then I would say that it should receive over the air updates (or at least downloadable updates) like all the other Android devices. So no problem there.
I've not tried Android for music playback, but you've got to admit that TuneWiki is pretty darn cool so I'd think it'd be all right for playback.

Android for music playback is great. The problem is that anything used for music playback these days will be compared to the iphone/ipod touch. Nothing will compare to the iphone for music playback - but only because the iphone has (like it or hate it) I-Tunes, which is designed specifically for syncing with apples products. I think if there were a desktop software package for Android, specifically for syncing with Android devices, then nothing would be finer. Just my opinion, now.....back on topic please.
