The Department of Accounting


As the college's construction zone for the first batch of featured majors, the Department of Accounting began admission in 2004, consistently valuing the philosophy “make preponderant areas strong, make strong areas special, make special areas refined, make emerging areas excellent for future development”, pursuing the objectives of developing well-rounded practical talents. This talent cultivation model is guided by  “internationalization, intellectualizing, professionalism, and interdisciplinary” aiming to shape s at shaping composite high-quality practical financial personnel equipped with international perspectives, the Internet and intelligent thoughts, and financial management capabilities.

Since 2012, international vocational qualification courses such as ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), FRM (Financial Risk Manager) and AIA (The Association of International Accountants) have been introduced, and special classes for ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CIA, FRM and AIA have been offered, creating an innovative talent training model with academic education and international qualification training.

The Department of Accounting pays close attention to perfecting the construction of practical teaching platforms inside and outside the college, relying on the large-scale intelligent comprehensive experimental center and nearly 130 school-enterprise cooperation bases, to develop students’ practical application ability, and actively organize students to participate in the national financial competition, where students won countless awards.



The Department of Accounting is equipped with a team of teachers with overseas study experience and dual-qualifications, many of whom are teaching and research hard-cores, renowned teachers, certified public accountants, and senior accountants. At present, seven distinctive teaching and research teams have been constructed, including the research of corporate investment and efficiency, environmental responsibility and audit, tax planning and tax accounting, and more than 90 "13th Five-Year Plan" textbooks such as Applied Economic Management and Scheme and A series of textbooks for the refined training of applied accounting talents have been published. The Department of Accounting attentively seeks school-enterprise cooperation to deepen school-enterprise cooperation, promotes "one subject, two teachers", and hiring professionals in the field of financial auditing and famous scholars from Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Ocean University of China, Qingdao Technological University as external professors to carry out exchanges and cooperation.

Up to now, the Department of Accounting has conducted more than 50 teaching and research projects at or above the provincial and municipal levels, and won 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes in the Shandong University Young Teacher Teaching Competition for 4 consecutive years; won the first prize once in the first provincial information-based teaching competition, the second prize for excellent teaching achievements of Shandong colleges once, the first prize for scientific research achievements several times, and the first prize for excellent papers of Shandong Accounting Associationfor 4 consecutive years.

Teaching Features

Focusing on the orientation of the college’s talent training, the Department of Accounting implements the “multi-level practical talent training model with goals of ability and demand”, centering on application-oriented talent training with characteristics of “internationalization, intellectualizing, professionalism, and interdisciplinary”. The training model equips students with international vision, Internet and intelligent thinking, and financial, auditing, financial and management abilities.

Focusing on students’ development, the department attaches importance to the coordinated development of curriculum ideology and professional curriculum, and realizes the integration of value shaping, knowledge transfer and ability training to adapt to domestic and international environmental changes and the needs of talents in various industries. In addition, adhering to the teaching philosophy of “promoting learning by competition, teaching by competition, research by competition, and promotion by competition”, the Department of Accounting organizes students to participate in national and provincial financial professional competitions to strengthen students’ hands-on ability competitiveness in their development field.

Up to now, the Department of Accounting has established professional associations such as the Accounting Association and the Basic Accounting Skills Association to expand students’ professional literacy and abilities; established innovation and entrepreneurship practice bases to enhance students’ innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities; cooperated with many well-known companies such as Industrial Bank of China, Admissions Securities, CITIC Securities, Lu Nan  Pharmaceuticals, Lixin Certified Public Accountants (Special General Partnership) to establish school-enterprise partnerships to promote the collaborative education of industry, academia and research; at the same time, they have cooperated and exchanged with ACCA, CIMA, CFA, FRM and other institutions in China, broadening the channels for the cultivation of international talents.


In terms of hardware facilities, the department provides students with a large-scale intelligent comprehensive accounting experiment center covering an area of 1,443 square meters, including 9 high-end professional laboratories such as a comprehensive laboratory for financial sharing and ERP sand table, a comprehensive laboratory for intelligent accounting, and a comprehensive laboratory for virtual business environments, a total of more than 700 computers. The experimental center is equipped with modern advanced equipment such as intelligent central control, cloud desktop, electronic sand table, physical sand table, etc., which is extremely practical; at the same time, it is equipped with a complete laboratory management system, which is a collection of financial sharing, big data, cloud computing, The new ecological platform of education integrated with artificial intelligence provides good conditions for teaching and scientific research.

Graduates Development

Most of the graduates work in well-known companies, government departments or enter domestic and foreign universities to continue their studies. A large number of students have grown into the hard-cores of employment units.
